During a parliamentary sitting, it was acknowledged that Celia had died and that she would be mourned and remembered for her powerful social activism in caring for those who couldn’t speak for themselves.

A women called Gabe set up a programme in NZ to help and support couples in violent relationships to make the changes they want. Celia accepted her invitation to help, especially working with the women. Kathleen joined her and speaks of her experience.

Gayle, a friend of Ces’s for 35 years, lives in Australia, but this hasn’t stopped them getting together regularly, even if only by phone. They were very important in each others lives.
